2000 Camry Broken Key

Oh no, a broken key in this classic 2000 Toyota Camry! We ended up needing a full new ignition replacement. Carefully removed the cylinder to extract the broken key piece. Noticed excessive wear on the steering lock pawl – upon reassembly, it wasn't lifting properly every time. That stepped ball isn't even a serviceable part! The cylinder was roll-pinned and plug-welded, making disassembly a real challenge. But we got it done smoothly.
